This series spawns from Jonathan’s interest in the unknown and the supernatural, and the exploration of these themes in his work. These abstract figures have the ability to represent an infinite number of stories. These 'demons,' whether bad or good, are expressive of subconscious material, much like in a dream. If dreams can access deeper, primitive, collective realities, these demons are the boatmen, ferrying the dreamer to that darker realm. Artist Brian Snowball also presents a series of 'demons' prepared by Jonathan and apart of his collection.
