New York based filmmaker Jonathan Phelps, was born in Glens Falls, NY(Hometown U.S.A.) in 1978. He graduated cum laude from SUNY Adirondack (1998), and received his BFA from the Purchase Film Conservatory (2002) where he was awarded the Thayer Fellowship Award, granted to one graduating performing or visual artist out of the entire SUNY system.

Jonathan founded Muckraker Productions in 1999, for the production of his film "The Lonesome Earthling." His aim was to cover the gamut of production responsibilities, no matter the budget, no matter the crew, to make the most impossible-seeming concepts into movie reality. In addition to his own production company, Jonathan is also closely associated with The Ravacon Collective, which among others, includes his two younger brothers, Stephen and Christopher Phelps.

Since then Jonathan has written, directed and produced 2 independent television shows, a handful of short films and music videos, completed his first feature and has become a proficient animator and puppeteer. He has performed over a 100 live VJing shows across the country, and has had his work shown on stage, in galleries, on MTV, and at various film screenings in New York City and elsewhere.

Jonathan is working on developing several original narrative feature film concepts and scripts, preparing a large body of visual artwork for exhibition, and directing a darkly comic web series called "Channel 616." Jonathan currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. His most recent work, Channel 616: Invasion, will be aired on Manhattan cable access television in late February.
